Rumah Hope Orphanage Charity Event with apbcOffices

While we are focused in delivering the best to clients, we believe in giving back to the society via our Corporate Social Responsibility activities. Distance is never a barrier when you have the heart. Testaments to this believe, we crossed the border and made some children happy.

Every day when you flip the newspaper, newsflash about the misfortune that befalls upon certain places due to natural disaster, abusive human race towards the defenseless children, women and old folks, and the wide spread of pandemic diseases. Besides releasing a sigh of sympathy and using that particular news of the day as your common topic of conversation among your friends and family, what action have you actually taken to contribute your part to heal the world? Have you actually given a thought that you too, could contribute something to heal our nation but simply do not know where or how to start?

apbcOffices was elated to contribute to the society by organizing a get-together non-government funded charity drive for 60 children at Rumah Hope Orphanage in Kuala Lumpur on 25th June 2011. A birthday celebration maybe part and parcel for most of us, but for the two children whom we celebrated their birthdays for, it was rare luxury for them and a day to remember.

The attendees were made up of our team and business associates of apbcOffices. The children were ecstatic with the well thought-out interactive activities such as Frisbee, puzzle solving, painting and origami sessions from the team. The associates also dedicated their time to share their personal experiences with the children and participated in a “spring cleaning” session with the kids. For some of the attendees, it was their first time taking part in a charity event and they felt like it was a sense of fulfillment and were look forward to future opportunities to participate.

Mid-Autumn Festival with our Beijing team

apbcOffices Beijing celebrated the Happy Hour Event in conjunction with Mid-Autumn Festival, which is also known as “Zhong Qiu Jie” in Beijing.

Beijing 12 September 2011 marks this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, a Chinese traditional holiday for family reunions. This festival is one of the most charming and colorful annual events to be celebrated, among other things, harvest time with the biggest and brightest moon of the year on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, around the time of the autumnal equinox. In the western calendar, this day of the festival usually takes place sometime between the second week of September and second week of October.

Our guests enjoyed a merry-making evening with our Beijing team . Moon-cakes, which are considered a “delicacy” and represented the round harvest moon, were served. They also had a chance to participate in a lucky draw, and the top three winners walked away with Apple products, while some of the participants received 50% discount vouchers off our secretarial services and meeting rooms.

Dragon Boat Festival Event

The annual Dragon Boat Festival in China has always been one of the biggest festivals to celebrate and not to be missed. It falls on the Fifth day of the Fifth lunar month’s calendar annually, which was the 6th of June on the Gregorian calendar this year.

In keeping with the spirit, apbcOffices in Beijing organized Dumpling Events for the clients at Gemdale and Ping An. Chinese dumplings were specially served during the event as a symbol for Dragon Boat Festival. The attendees vaguely appreciated the hospitality of our service staff.
